  • At present specialises in criminal law and human rights.

  • Member of høringsutvalg i forsvarergruppen, the Norwegian Bar Association

  • Former chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Norwegian Bar Association.

  • written shadow reports together with other NGOs regarding human rights situation in Norway, and in this connetction met before the UN´s human rights organs

  • Private practice in Oslo from 1982 conducting civil and criminal cases before the Norwegian courts and the European Court of Human Rights.

  • Member of Nordem Stand-by force for international observers. Observed court cases in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Turkey.

  • Earlier worked as assistant judge, scientific researcher and adviser at Ministry of Social Affaires.

  • Awarded prizes of honour by the Oslo branch of the Norwegian Bar Association and Espelands foundation for his work with human rights

  • Written the book "Foreseeability and technological development as legal arguments" and different articles and reports on different topics especially human rights
